I’ve thought about making a blog for quite some time and have finally quit being a lazy ass and started one. These pixels really aren’t of the “fashionista” material, so what will you find here? Looks of the day, to put it simply. I’d rather look comfortable and somewhat messy than chic or styled. Constructive criticism and feedback are always welcome.

I received a notecard earlier today from Polina Kaestner that said that she’s leaving SL and closing down her shop. (Or just taking a break for awhile, let’s hope!) There had been a lot of things in her store that I had put off buying thinking that I’d get around to buying them when I had an outfit in mind. So with that option gone and the 50% off sale she’s having until closing, I went and bought pretty much all that I didn’t already have in my inventory. Her location at Rue DAntibes will be up for another two weeks but she wasn’t sure how long the shop in Cupcakes would be there, so hurry before it’s all gone! (Both locations have different items up for sale, FYI!)

I have now been up for… mmm too long… taken several “tours” of all four sims… and dealt with my photoshop crashing and losing the following pictures a handful of times. >.< I thankfully got to avoid the lag this year but after experiencing it last year, these would be my tips… Obviously, deprim and take off all your hud objects. You’ll probably never rez for anyone other than yourself anyway. Make sure your draw distance/particles/graphics settings are turned down lower than it would normally be. Once you *finally* get in, my strategy would be to grab demos and run home to try them on. Waiting for the to rez there is a huge waste of time and it’s going to take you hours already if you’re planning to get through all of it! Here is just a little taste…

I know there have been conflicting opinions on the Vive9 Aoki skins… but I absolutely love them. The face is adorable and I love the freckly little nose. <3 Also, I don't think you can go wrong with 7 different makeups for L$2,000. The outfit itself is pretty simple but let's be honest here… all that's really needed is a comfortable looking baggy shirt and jeans that make your pixel booty look awesome, am I right? Well, actually… I guess ice cream never hurts. :p

Tip : Recovering missing inventory items.
I had a minor (or potentially major) SL trauma last night/this morning when I logged in and only 6K items were in my inventory, even after clearing my cache and relogging several times. If it wasn’t for my good friend Kissy sharing this tip with me my stuff would probably still be gone and I’d be laying in the fetal position calculating how much money I just lost in $L to $USD. I figured if I had never heard of this before it’s likely that a lot of others hadn’t so I decided to share. Hope it helps someone!
1. Open Second Life and press Ctrl-Alt-G.
3. Change the new drop down menu (located net to the sign in button) from Agni to Aditi.
4. Log in (to the beta grid) and don’t accept any items to inventory.
5. Set yourself to busy and let inventory load completely.
*(Note: The missing items will still be missing at this point, just let it go until it stops saying that it’s loading.)*
6. Log out of the beta grid and reopen Second Life.
7. Change the drop down menu back to Agni and log in.
8. Let your inventory load and your missing items *should* be back.

This is pretty much the result of a weird mood and being broke and having to dig through my inventory and make due with what I already own. I actually ended up liking the end result a lot so yay for it being clean enough that I can still find things I bought over a year ago. :p
